The Shaka Sign

Posted by Picasa It's a friendly gesture and is given ALL OVER Hawai'i...not everyone is really sure how it started or how it was invented but it's generally believed that it started when a guy lost his 3 middle fingers and that's what his wave looked like!
The sign is made by extending the thumb and little finger, generally of the right hand, then waving as a greeting or acknowledgement.
It's cool as it can mean whatever you like as long as you're feeling laid back, hawaiian stylee! Hang loose, peeps!
