All alone...

So, after many warnings about the bad guys (just don't look them in they eye - they might hypnotize you), me and missy G made it to Cebu and on to Bohol sans family.

Cebu is a major travel port for the Philippines. This would be our gateway to other visayan islands. Unfortunatly, actual Cebu doesn't have much to show for itself so we left the next morning!

BOHOL - the place of the chocolate hills and tarsier monkey (apparently the cutest animal in the world)

In contrast to Cebu, we loved Bohol straight away ;o)

Nuts Huts - our home for the next 2 days - a nipa hut called Casablanca by the Loboc river.

We swam in the river (well, Carly did, I pretty much didn't leave the pier), ate, drank, went on a boat trip to the ocean and then to the waterfalls where we swam so more and I did a bit of rock climbing, we had a motorbike tour of the chocolate hills (only chocolatey in the dry season but still a bizarre thing to see!), through the Neuva Vida villages and rice paddies where we saw villagers working and kids playing basket ball.

Was fab ;o)

re: the family...am also replying to cousin and aunt texts so they know we haven't come across any bad guys yet. Though after telling them we'll be off to Panay next, I've been told to beware of the sharks there. Bless 'em!
