Hello moto

We arrived at Siem Reap with our big backpacks figuring we'd get a taxi to our guesthouse of choice (The Ivy). At the taxi stand we asked for a car but were told ''no, i think the moto is good for you'. We just laughed - you're kidding, right?! Have you seen our backpacks?? We'll have a cab, thanks. 'no, no, no - a moto is good for you, here are your drivers'

Backpack in the front, and us on the back. We didn't think it would work but it did! Glad their mantra is ít's all up to the tourist'!

That's when we met our eventual drivers for a 4 days in Siem Reap - Mr Man (Robert) and Sambo (just don't call him monkey especially if you're riding on the back of his moto!)

So glad it's no always up to the tourist! We've loved being on the bikes (even with the slight fear that if I fall back, my head will crack open and I'll die). Wind messin' your hair up, flies hitting your face at break-neck speed and all the dust you could ever ask for in your mouth. Seriously, it was great fun - no traffic, the sun on your face and the only way to get around the streets of cambodia!
