Eating your way to good karma...

Notable places to visit in Cambodia for food, drink and a little more peace of mind!

Out of Siem Reap and visitng Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, we'e realised that begging is big in all the tourist destinations. It really is a sad sight to see and has been a constant struggle deciding what to do, how much to give or whether you should or not. It's really tough because this is their job.

There are a few restaurants/cafes that donate all their profits to helping street kids and other people finding it impossible to make ends meet.

So if you ever find yourself in Cambodia (you wouldn't regret it!), check these places out for good food and good karma...

The Friends Restaurant, Phnom Penh (Like Jamie's 15 - trains streetkids the art of cooking and all the chefs/waiters are former street kids. GREAT FOOD too - offering tapas, khmer style as well as main dishes, yummy cocktails and delicious puds)

Starfish Bakery, Sihanoukville
