Rusty Keyhole

Last day in Cambodia now...

After lovin' the temples and jourl mouying (or trying our best to clink our glasses in khmer without shouting F*** me instead) in the countryside we moved on to see:

The Killing Fields and the Genocide Museum around Phnom Penh (why, oh why can people not learn from history's big fat ugly mistakes??!!)

Sihanoukville - beach town of Cambodia. Good deep fried lobsters (just ask Carly, she ate the whole thing...ALL OF IT!!), yummy bailey shakes (Matt/Perry, you'd love it!!) nice beach (not nearly as nice as borocay though) and lovely warm waters

Kampot - lovely in its small towniness. Stayed in cheesy member (or Mealey Chenda), had a few drinks at the Rusty Keyhole (owned by a mancunian man utd fan - go figure, they really do exist...even if you have to go to cambodia to find them!), a tour of Bokor National park and a little trek throwing stones ahead in case of nasty landmines (yikes!), experienced the spookiness of the old abandoned hotel and had a yummy sri lankan curry

Back now in Phnom Penh - last day in cambodia!! Hitting the Mekong Delta for 3 days before hitting Saigon on the 20th.

Have loved the temples, the food, the orange robed monks, riding motos with no helmet, massages by blind masseurs (even the more comical ones), angkor beer and the fabulous khmers (despite your love of techno music) - Lee-hi and hope you stay happy and healthy!!

ps. Hated the Mekong Whiskey - it's just not good stuff!

Next: Vietnam - 4 wks checking out the sites starting with a 3 day tour of the Mekong Delta, celebrating our bdays and the chinese new year!

Thrilling stuff this travelling lark ;o)
